2002 Ford Taurus water pump

my car was running hot it seems as though the car ran out of radiator fluid so I filled it and drove a half mile home and when I got home it was completly empty my question is would a water pump empty so quickley or could it be something else what should I look for thanks for your time Dennis

Sounds as you have a leak in the coolant system
more testing needed
do not let it over heat
have it pressure checked
check hoses and radiator also
check the rear hoses and heater line by the firewall

need manual CHECK IT @
