2002 Ford Taurus Update on rough idle post

Not sure what the deal was but now the Check Engine light has gone off and the engine is running smoothly again.
I thought that once the light was on the computer needed to be reset to turn it off?
Now I am not sure that I want to spend the money on a code read.

They can turn off by themselves sometimes, if you dont want to spend money then go to a auto zone and they will scan it for FREE FREE FREE! Maybe even another autopart store call them and ask if they will scan it for free if you buy parts from them.
