my taurus always leaks,ans it usualy takes awhile to catch gears what may cause this problem.also when you excelerate ti make a clunk sound

You information is very vague but if I were to guess what's happening here, it sounds like you have a pretty serious trans fluid leak and your driving it low on fluid causing the banging. I suggest you attend to this ASAP
