2002 Ford Taurus How to test wires and coil pack?

Hi,

I am getting some hesitation in my car under acceleration. I will be giving it a tune up with plugs, wires, etc. Also, I would like to check the coil pack. 1) Is it possible to test a coil pack with a multi-meter?
2) Also, what is the best way to test spark plug wires?

i'm not sure how to test the coil pack but as for the spark plugs pull them out and if they are not white then i suggest you purchase new ones
