Just bought a 2002 taurus with 120000 miles. Going through a crazy amount of gas. Getting 13 to 14 mpg. Has to be something wrong, right? Please help, cannot afford to keep if this is real. Thanks.

That is really low. Have you checked the general things like the air filter, do you know when the last tune up was? Has the check engine light come on?
