2002 Ford Taurus 6 cyl Two Wheel Drive Automatic

I HAVE A 2002 FOR TAURUS THAT INDICATES THAT THE FUEL GAUGE IS EMPTY WHEN IT SHOULDENT BE. IVE TRIED CHANGEING THE FUEL LEVEL SENSOR IN THE GAS TANK AND THE PROBLEM STILL EXITST. WHERE SHOULD I LOOK TO FIX THIS PROBLEM

if the fuel level sensor was already replaced then it's either wiring to the sensor or more likely the gauge itself is bad.
