Was sitting in car with foot on brake, took foot off brake and car will not shift to any gears. Runs great, but tried turning off and on again, still won't shift. Never had any warning or failure lights go off, no noises (I was on a quiet street), no bumps, no indications of any type of transmission problems. Fluid good level. I was told it was probably a sensor by two somewhat good mechanics, but mine says he's 100% sure its not the sensors & 95% sure its the torque converter, that they will go with no noise no warning and you cannot shift any gears, it makes the entire system inoperable. I just have a hard time believing this. My mechanic gets no code readings either. Help, any reply will be welcomed.

If the trans was always good, chances are it is the converter. There are shift sensors, but you should be able to get it into gear.
