Bought the vehical new.

Most of the time the transmission works fine.

Recently, within the last 300 miles, from a stop I'd push on the peddle to go and the engine
would rev up but, the car wouldn't move. I tried going thru the gears, shifting down to 1st
and worked my way back up to Drive but, no luck. Put it back into park then back to drive, worked.

Yesterday, I changed the fluid(not a system flush, added 6.5 qrts) and filter. The pan magnet had
the usual fine grey metal filings that I have found on every transmission fluid change I have made.

The old transmission fluid was pink, not burnt.
Prior to changing the fluid, the level was good.

Question:

It hasn't messed up yet, but if it does, any other suggestions?

Suggested Additives, maybe somethings getting hung up in the transmission?

Are there any sensors on that transmission which may be failing that I could change?

I think the transmission number is AX4N.

I would start by having the PCM scanned to see if it has stored any codes. If the trans works like you say it could be a bad solenoid or trans position sensor.Have it scanned first though, milegae is too low for anything internal (hopefully)
