I have a 2001 Ford Taurus with the DOHC. It seems lately it's accelration has been poor. When I need to get some power to stomp on it, it has a delayed acceleration and then it kicks in 2 seconds later. I checked the trans fluid. It was not low and was still pinkish. I noticed no metal shavings or anything like that. Im wondering if i need a change or a flush or if it's entirely something else. Also people told me flushes were not good for older cars. Thanks
