Hi i have a taurus which i recently put a cold air intake on it. when i started it up it idled fine for a second but began to idle up and down from 600 to 700 rpm continuously. i dont know what it could be i replaced the MAF already and that took away the engine light but car still idles the same in park reverse and drive. i checked to see if it was the IAC but that wasnt it either...i have checked for leaks but cant find any...the only thing left to check i think would be the TPS...i unplugged it and started up the car and it idle fine but a little high at 1000 rpms so it might be that but if it isnt what would be another reason for it to do that? also when in gear the idle surging makes the car move as the rpms go up and down as if it were going to stall. thanks

Chances are the TPS can't work with thedifferent intake.
