I'm thinking I have a blown head gasket due to recently I keep having to refill the recovey tank after each time it is used. During this last trip, the car after being used for an hour started producing steam and when I went to refill it at a gas station, the tank was dry and once filled started boiling over. Kept refilling it tiill eventually the water stayed in the tank.
This was a used car we bought for a senior parent of ours and in the course of servicing it for them, I have replaced the water pump, thermostat, recovery tank, hoses, and radiator hoping this kind of problem would of been prevented. I do not see any signs of a leak when the car is parked.
Could there be another reason besides a blown head gasket that would make the radiator fluild disappear when driven.
