2001 Ford Taurus a/c clutch

My a/c clutch keeps engaging and disengaging and no cold air will come out. Is it going out or do I need to recharge it. Everything eles on heat and blowers work fine.

Try checking the high and low pressures using a manifold gauges if it needs freon start here
