2000 Ford Taurus will crank but won't start....fuel pump?

I had to jump this vehicle to get it home. I cleaned the battery terminals which had some build up on them then I put a 12 volt- 6 amp charger on the battery. it started and ran one time for a few minutes. I have not been able to get it started since. there is plenty of cranking power, but not a pop from the engine? what do you think?

Although not a certified 2carpros technician, here are my suggestions, for what it's worth:
-have your battery and alternator tested at an autopart store
-although you said you have plenty of cranking power, I would still check the starter circuit (voltage drop test).
-when you crank your engine, check for sparks
-check your fuel pressure
-do a compression test on each cylinder

If you do the above, you should find what's missing (spark, fuel, compression, cranking power).
