Brakes problem
2000 Ford Taurus 6 cyl Front Wheel Drive Automatic

When I brake in my car I hear a loud hissing sound as though air is escaping a hose. I feel a resistance when I brake, I have to apply hard pressure to the break and as I do I hear the hissing. After a certain point of pushing it'll go soft and be easy to push and I won't hear the noise. But the next time I brake it starts all over again.
