2000 Ford Taurus Torque Converter Light

The light comes on when going at highway speeds. It does not effect the transmission. I do not notice a change in the shifting. At first, I thought it only came on the when a/c or defrost was on, but that is not the case. The light goes off again if I stop the car. Do you think having the transmission flushed will make a difference?
