2000 Ford Taurus SE Wagon Gas Gauge trouble.

58,000 miles; 6 cyl engine. Sometimes the gas gauge works but most of the time it stays in the Full position. Don't know why it sometimes comes "un-stuck". Would like to know if it can be fixed.

Anything is repairable. It would need to be diagnosed. IT may be a ground issue, wiring or gage issue or the sending unit may have a problem and would require dropping the gas tank.
