My car will not shift into overdrive. That and when i try to accelerate over 2000 R.P.M.'s my warning light on the R.P.m. gauge starts flashing. I have checked the transmission oil and the engine oil and both are good. But for some reason i still can't get the transmission to act right, are these early signs of a blown transmission, or is it just a sensor issue?

Check for codes
suspect internal tranny issue
not a total rebuilt
clip inside the tranny fails and valve body need to be removed for repair
I would check with local tranny shop
