Transmission problem
2000 Ford Taurus 6 cyl Automatic 40000 miles

The car started each and every time until 2winters ago. Sometimes it would start up immediately but other times on second or third try within a minute or so-other times it might be several minutes or even hours. Mechanics couldnt diagnose problem. Last winter same thing-took it to Ford garage in early March and they diagnosed FIV problem and said it was at 30% capacity and might be problem. Car started all year every time until 2 weeks ago aroung end of Nov when it started getting cold again. Temps have been cold off and on but not severe cold. Any ideas or solutions? Thanks SLB

Try to give it a little of gas as you are trying to start and if that help
suspect IAC
I would have them check it, clean and or replace
