Switch easily moves and either brake lights are always onb or can't get car into gear without relocating switch. Went to Ford dealer with problem and they installed new switch told old switch installed wrong (flipped). Problem still remains. Dealer say meets requirements and repair is comparable to all vehicles on road and advised to be careful with foot placement on brake pedal. Don't laugh. They really said that.

Any remedy to problem/ how to secure switch in place better

not really certain which way it has movement but you can try adding shims (metal washers , etc..) to take up the space and create a tighter fit to prevent it from moving freely.
