My 2000 Ford Taurus recently wouldn't turn over. I tried to jump start it thinking maybe it was the battery. No luck. I had the alternator replaced, replaced a bad starter. After all this my battery light is still on and it will not hold a charge. I tested the alternator and it is good. Could a bad battery be the cuprit or something else?

My 2000 Ford Taurus recently wouldn't turn over. Did you meant it cranks and will not start or just won't crank at all/nothing?

I turn the key and get nothing. I just had the battery tested and it is fine. New alternator, good battery. What to do?

Other areas could be the starter itself, starter relay, transmission range sensor and ignition switch.

Try replacing the battery cable, that caused a similar problem for me a few years back on my 99 Taurus.
