When I turn the key on to start the car I can hear what sounds like the turn signal flasher clicking and the instrument panel warning lights flash on and off. With the key on I can activate the right turn signal and it flashes properly but if I try the left signal it flickes very fast and I can here the ABS brakes cycling on and off. If I start the engine and activate the left signal the engine dies.

Any ideas?

Check the alarm system

I cant make the connection between the left signal and the engine stalling
unless so rewiring was do on the car (installing remote starter, radio, alarm, any thing )

well this is how I would go about it
1st I would turn key on engine on put the signal on (right side )walk around the car and carefully make a note of the flashing bulbs
then put on left side and check the blinking bulbs should have the same amount of bulbs on the left as on the right with same locations only difference is left and right side of the car

if not remove and check the bulbs and harness on the not working one.

2nd
start engine and check battery volts put on right signal check battery volts
and then left
what do u have for volts?

With key on engine of u stated u have buzzing (no signals on )can u locate the buzzing or clicking

good luck and let us know
