My serpentine belt on my 2000 Ford Taurus squeaks when idleing. It even cuts the car off if i am at a stand still. When i am driving the car is fine. What can be the potential problems?

remove and replace the belt
after removing the belt and before the new goes on check pulleys all should turn freely
