Air Conditioning problem
1999 Ford Taurus 6 cyl Front Wheel Drive 160000 miles
----------------------------------------------------------------
I replaced the heater core in my taurus and I tried to remove the center venting when I was trying to figure out where the heter core was. Now the vent is leaking air around the bottom opening and I cannot figure out how to reconnect it properly so that the air will come out of dash vents and not the defroster and floor. Can you please tell me what I did and how I can reconnect the vent system in the middle (behind ashtray and controls) correctly. Thank you for your assitance.

If the air comes out of the defrost and will not switch to vent, you have a missing vacuum hose, look for the black one that comes in from the engine compartment. As for the ducts, I don't know what you took apart, if you can upload a picture?
