1999 Ford Taurus Rough Shifting

Transmission problem
1999 Ford Taurus 6 cyl Front Wheel Drive Automatic 152k miles

My 99 taurus doesn't shift properly. When getting on the interstate the transmission won't shift until I let off the gas. Also, the rpms surge slightly when slowing down for a stop. The transmission is only about 2 years old. No check engine light on. I scanned it anyway and it came back with no codes. Any ideas would be much appreciated. Thanks

Check tranny fluids
replace and change filter
if the OD light flashes you should check for tranny codes need a scanner an OBDII reader will not access the tranny code s
