What could be the cause of a coolant loss while driving? I have found no coolant in the oil, find no water coming from the tailpipe, and see no cooolant on the engine itself. The engine has been replaced recently, due to head gasket problems on the old engine. I have also replaced the thermostat, radiator, and heater core. The car never overheats, but it will build enough pressure in the cooling system to blow the radiator pressure cap after approximately 20-30 miles of driving. Can you help me with this problem?

We need to start with pressure testing the coolant to make sure there are no external leaks and this includes looking on the floor of the passenger side and under the vehicle.

Here are a couple videos that will help with this:

Next just because you don't have oil and coolant mixing yet doesn't mean it is not a head gasket. We need to start with checking this because you may still have time to save it.

Below you will find a product that we have reviewed and if you would like to try it then that would be great if it works as I assume you are going to find that the head gasket is the issue.

Please run through this material and let us know if you have questions on these.
