What would cause the car to start and "run" just fine until its put into gear. Then it dies? We are looking to buy this car but would like an opinion to make sure that we are not getting into transmission issues.

Ok first off if you are looking to buy this car and there is issues I wouldn't. However if you feel you must then I need to know is the engine light on how does it die does it just die like you shut off the key or does it start to run rough and then die? As for the transmission being the problem it could be if the torque converter is locking up. Get back to me.
