Brakes problem
1999 Ford Taurus 110000 miles

I recently replaced my brake pads. However, tonight when I went to drive home I had to put my foot almost all the way to the floor before the brakes caught. Stopping was even worse than just slowing down. The brake fluid is not leaking either. Any suggestions?

Thanks!

Fluid level ok and no leaks

Pump up and hold the brake paddle
and check if its fading down
suspect a bad master cylinder
check rear brake
