Brakes problem
1998 Ford Taurus Engine Size unknown Two Wheel Drive Automatic 117115 miles
----------------------------------------------------------------
My vehicle shudders when braking. The higher the speed I am braking at, the stronger the shuddering. In addition the vehicle makes a creaking/grinding noise when making left turns (but not right turns).

it sounds like the rotors are warped. Depending how bad they are if they can be resurfaced or if you have to get new. Have a garage check the front end the grinding noise could be the brakes going bad.

The brakes were replaced in April of 2007...should the rotors be warped and in need of replacing already?

that depends on if they replaced them in april or did they just put on new pads. With it on a lift they should be able to tell if the rotors are warped.
