the serp belt just broke on our old taurus.. the power steering had not been working... all the fluid leaks out of the rack and pinion. the a/c had also not been working... when i found the broke belt i checked all the pulleys, the a/c pulley is siezed and wont move, and the power steering pulley although it moves its labored... my question is can i get a belt to go from the crank to just the alternator to limp the car along for another month? is that possible for this year and make of car?

There is no belt made to this as the system runs a tensioner and idler pulleys and such also you need to run the water pump or it will overheat. Now you can buy A/C bypass pulleys and remove the ac unit and then the factory belt will go back on. As for the power steering pump I would flush it and run it it will me a little bit labored as you put it because it moves fluid and bring it to a pressure to assist steering. Here is a pic of the bypass pulley and costs about 35 dollars.
