I need to know how to tell if motor is locked up and if so how to get to flywheel

THe easiest way to tell is to place a socket and ratchet on the bottom engine pulley and see if you can turn it. If you can't, chances are it is locked up.
As far as the flywheel, there is an inspection plate at the bottom of the trans where it meets with the engine. Remove the plate and you will see the flywheel.
