1998 Ford Taurus Headlights

When I shut my car off the day time running headlights will not go off> I have to pull the battery cable. The switch on the dash seems to work ok but when my headlight switch is in the off position the high beam on the dash is on. Please help

Possibly the drl module is bad, located down drivers side on frame near radiator.. grey colored I think
