OK so upon a cold start up my car shakes at idle and then takes a lot of gas to get the car going. Also when I'm sitting at stop lights in gear the cars rpms will go down to prob almost 500 rpm and almost stall and then come back up. No check engine light.

It sounds like a vacuum leak. Have you checked for that? Also, have you checked fuel pump pressure?

I havent tested for a vacuum leak because I cannot find a good diagram for the vacuum lines so I can check it with a guage.

Yes, check the vacuum at the intake and let me know what you find. Also, let me know if the check engine light has come on.

Ya I found two lines that come off the intake one goes to the oil cap and the other goes around can I just use that one. And can I just tap that line with a t fitting or can I just stick the gauge directly on the intake.

Ok so I took a vauum reading. I tapped a line the was coming off the intake. It was reading a steady 5 in hg. That seemed really low, implying a major intake leak so was wondering if I did something wrong or it might just really be that bad.

That is really low. Check the EGR, intake gasket and all vacuum hoses. If you can't find any, make sure the brake booster isn't leaking.

Let me know what you find.
