1998 Ford Taurus 6 cyl Front Wheel Drive Automatic

HI, I WENT TO DRIVE MY CAR YESTERDAY. IT STARTED FINE BUT EVERY TIME I PUT IT INTO DRIVE, IT DIED. A MECHANIC TOLD ME IT SOUNDS LIKE THE ELECTRIC TORQUE CONVERTER. IS THIS A POSSIBILITY? IF SO IS THERE A DIAGRAM OUT THERE THAT SHOWS WHERE THIS IS LOCATED?

Most likely its not
check for vacuum leaks, check PCV valve hose
check for codes
check and clean IAC valve

Could be the TCC solenoid-try disconnecting it and see what happens -the solenoid is within the valve body in the transmission
