I had brand new pair of brake front brake pads installed on my car. I also had my roters shaved. It has been 2 months since and my brake are still making a squeaking noise when I brake.

The noise seems to be coming from my front brakes.

The machanic I have been with for many years told me that he put in a good pair of brake pads. He wants to try and shave my roters again (no charge).

Do you think this will solve the problem? If not, what else could be causing the problem?

machining the rotors shouldn't do that.

what you should do is have him put the proper amount of lubrication on the shims and contact points on the pad/caliper slides and on the pads themselves like should be done.

noise does travel. could be coming from the rearend.
