1998 Ford Taurus blenddoor actuation

Thank you for taking the time to answer my question. Any help is greatly appreciated.
After my car warms up to operating temperature I can turn on the positioning switch and receive warm air for about 30 seconds then it goes cold. If I wait about three minutes I can reactivate it and get warm air again. I have replaced the thermostat and have pressurized the heater core (which is unplugged and does not leak) and I have also pulled my glove box out and physically listened to the blenddoor actuating. My question is does the blenddoor have a vacuum assist that holds it open after initial electronic activation and if so where is it located and how do I check it.

Check all hoses for leaks/broken or loose fittings.
