Transmission problem
1997 Ford Taurus 6 cyl Front Wheel Drive Automatic
taurus from stop intermittently will jerk into gear, then rpm will surge almost like its slipping. Fluid levels fine fluid good color any ideas?

How does it do once it's going? Does it shift fine after the intial jerk? Does the engine ever try to stall on you?

Actually once it gets going it seems fine, shifts smooth. Doesnt seem to be transmission honestly. Im stumped. Truthfulyyy my gfriend an I are arguing because it seems tohave very few if any probs while I drive it.

Is engine light on? Could be a failing sensor such as the camshaft sensor causing the jerking from a stop.
