Engine Cooling problem
1997 Ford Taurus 431000 miles

The engine was replaced 2 years ago. Noticed running hotter while on steep inclines and heavily loaded. Firestone would not touch car saying too old, and coolant was rusty. Told to buy new car. Not able to do that, so continued use, trying to avoid steep inclines. Recently tested antifreeze for potency and was able to see very murky rusty water in the clear suction tube. Very bad looking rust. Is there anything I can do to help this? Anything to extend life at this point? Still unable to just buy new car. Would a flush/fill at an oil change place be good or too risky?
