my taurus with replaced motor & transmission has been a great car so far until my overdrive quit working i had it scanned for $25.00 and was told the shift solenoid for 4th gear is stuck, i bought the new part from a ford dealer. this is my question what would typical labor cost & time be for replacment of this part? or is this even the problem? the transmission works fine in ALL other gears just wont shift into overdrive handicapped disabled and low incomed. thank you

It about 4to 5 hours to do
plus you need to add fluids and gaskets and filter kit too
check with your local shop for their hourly rate
