I own a used ford taurus. it has 147,000 miles on it. Recently i had problems with it starting. I would have to choke the car and give it gas to start. I went to the movies and drove down the interstate. The car began to drop speed increasingly. It then caught speed and ran from cold to red line hot. it stopped running and hasn't crank all the way since. it tries, you can hear it wants to, but it won't. anyone know what can help? the alternator, the timing chain, are both new.

Are you saying it cranks good but won't start? Or it won't crank at all? Did you check fluids under the hood, engine oil and coolant? Can you check for codes?
