Heater problem
1997 Ford Taurus 6 cyl Automatic

Are there electric motors that control the coolant flow thru the heater core ? & where are they located ?

Coolant flow through the heater core at all time
blend door control the air flow
when on hot, air flow directed over the heater core
if on cold air ,the flow directed over the evaporator
start and warm the engine
open hood and check the heater core hoses
both should be hot if not need to have the core flushed
