1997 Ford Taurus ALTERNATOR PROBLEM?

battery light on, checked battery condition, connections and fuses, replaced alternator, light was off for a brief while, then back on, may be intermittant issue, light will go off and alternator charges 14.4, hit a bump etc., light comes back on, no charge, have tried several alternators, help!
