1996 Ford Taurus 6 cyl Two Wheel Drive Automatic 160k miles

I happened to be riding on my braking brake unknowingly when I tried to stop I had no brake pressure I then pumped my brakes repeatedly and the pressure came back. Is this a normal occurrence when you ride with parking brake on.

Yes they should retun to normal after a cool down
