1996 Ford Taurus Input/turbine speed sensor

I got a diagonse that my input/turbine speed sensor circuit malfunction.
And the system too lean (bank 1)

What does this mean as far car repair. What am I looking at to fix this promblem.
Now I just had a transmission but in my car. I don't know if that anything to do with it or not?

Check with tranny shop who rebuilt and install your tranny
as it may be left disconnected
also check for vacuum leaks
open hood and check PCV valve and hoses
check hoses if collapsed
