1996 Ford Taurus 4 cyl Front Wheel Drive Automatic

Hi,
I just bought this car, and now when I turn it on, it is loud, and when I start to drive it there was white smoke coming out of the hood(not alot) then it would stall?

wha't going on and what should I do with it, and how much would you estimated to cost?

hi patti , white smoke is a big prob,, but not from under the hood if you had white smoke comeing out of exhaust that would be expensive. sounds like a coolant leak under the hood. have it pressure tested it will most likely be a radiator or hose or even water pump... but first check the eng oil is it milky or does it look like plain oil // ?check the radiator is there oil mixed with anti.? if not have pressure tested this will find the prob.. thanks billymac
