Computer problem
1996 Ford Taurus 6 cyl Automatic 117000 miles
I just put my aging Taurus in the shop last week and replaced my starter, alternator, master cylinder, & put in a new blower motor. After driving less than 60 miles my engine light came on, I checked it with a code reader & I got the code PO 430. I read somewhere that this is either a failed cat, or bad sensor. The car also has been shaking since getting it back from the mechanic while driving, not a previous problem. I just went through inspection less than a week before putting it in the shop & there were no problems. I'm really getting frustrated as I feel I am somehow either getting screwed by mechanics, or my car is falling apart. Any help as to what the problem could be, what could have caused it, or what I can do to fix it would be greatly appreciated.
