1996 Ford Taurus Alternator?

The dashboard lights dim and the battery light flashes when I accellerate to about 3000 RPM.No other symptons.Serpentine belt tight and in good shape. Bad alternator?

Remove battery terminals check clean and tighten
check battery volts with engine running it should be above 13.5 V
if not suspect bad alternator
make sure engine has a good ground
