I have just bought this car two weeks ago and, have taken it to two different repair shops trying to figure out why the engine stalls. I drove the car twice and every time when I stop at a traffic light it cuts off and then starts back up again. The first time I took it to the repair shop the mechcanic said that the computer wasn't responsiding and wasn't givining any readings to what was wrong with it. He then said that the car was fine and I drove it home. The next day on my way to work the car cut off again at the traffic light when I had been driving it for at least ten minutes. It did however start back up again and I took it to another repair shop. This mechinac supposedly did a diagnostic test but didn't give any specfic reason to what the problem was. He stated that he cleaned around the perimeters and reset the settings back to factory standards, whatever that means. When I picked the car up on the way home it stall out again at the traffic light and cranked back up again. Can someone please help me and give me a straight answer to why my car keeps cutting off. It has a 124,000 miles on it and the engine is really quite, I mean so quite that you can bearly hear that it's running. The last mechicanic change the oil and a blown fuse but that didn't resolve the problem. Could it be the computer if it's not giving off any codes.

Check the crankshaft position sensor, my 93 SHO did the same thing. WHen I replaced the timing belt & the sensor, the problem was fixed. Oh yeah that sensor can be bad and not give a code!
