Engine Cooling problem
1995 Ford Taurus 6 cyl Front Wheel Drive Automatic

My car overheats and stalls out. I believe it is due to the radiator fan not comming on. The air conditioning works and the engine only quits when I am not moving in hot weather. I can avoid the stall out by venting max heat to the cabin of the car. How should I go about troubleshooting the fan. The fuses are fine and in working order. Oh and when the car stalls, it doesn't just turn off, all acceleration is lost and the engine struggles to stay on, then it cuts off. Please help, I am trying to save some cash and fix it myself, I only have the weekend before the wife makes me take it to the shop

If you keep driving it hot like that, your going to spend a lot more money than you planned on because your going to blow a head gasket.

You need to run power and ground directly to the motor to test that first.
