1995 Ford Taurus Door latch

My driver door closes, but doesn't seal tightly agains the door seals. The door latches, but is loose, the same as when someone doesn't close a door completely and has to bump it to get a confirmed latch. Is this an adjustment to the latching mechanism, a replacement, or other issue?

On the door pillar, there is an item that the latch attaches to. It is adjustable. Loosten it and put it closer to the seat so the door is tighter.
