1995 Ford Taurus Car Won't Turn Off

When I turned my car on the other day, it turned on, but I felt a pop when turning the key. I then immediately tried to turn it off to see what the problem was, and the ignition won't turn off. It feels like it's not catching on something in the ignition, but I'm not sure what it is. It seems like it could be a cheap fix because it still turns on. Any ideas?

Suspect internal failure of the cylinder. I suggest replacing your vehicle's ignition lock cylinder.
